70S mod French LOVEBIRDS PENDANT NECKLACE long bold cellulose acetate plastic
This is an outstanding 1970s vintage French necklace made entirely from pearly cream cellulose acetate plastic. The lightweight cellulose has a harlequin diamond veined pattern. Necklace has 32" loopy chain with oversized hook in back. The drop pendant is 8" high from top to bottom circle, and in the center is an open oval ring with a pair of lovebirds.
The look and feel of this plastic and the harlequin diamond pattern is very much like Lea Stein, but I cannot authenticate this unusual necklace. Purchased at Paris flea market, maybe be an early rare experimental piece, or other French piece of the era, but whatever, it is AWESOME!
