    Description

THIS IS A HAND-CARVED SPOON OF MAPLE OR ALDER WOOD MADE BY THE BELLA COOLA TRIBE WITH
    DOCUMENTED HISTORY!
THIS IS A UTENSIL ONCE USED TO TRANSFER FOOD FROM SERVING CONTAINERS TO DISHES AND TO EAT WITH. SPOONS WERE MADE WITH MAPLE OR ALDER WOOD AS CONIFER WOULD GIVE FOOD A BAD TASTE. THIS SPOON IS ELAGANTLY PLAIN, UNLIKE THE ELABORATELY DECORATED UTENSILS USED AT FEASTS.
THIS SPOON MEASURES APPROX 7.5'' LONG, APPROX 2'' WIDE WITH ELONGATE DIAGONAL HANDLE AND  NARROW FORM SCOOP.
