Using software like DVDfab (not included) and any 4K/UltraHD / 3D-BD / 2D-BD / DVD discs that you own, you can clone (1:1), copy, or create your own Digital Copy and convert to whatever device you own (tablet, smart phone, media player/streaming device, etc.), depending on which DVDfab feature(s) you get.
You can download an evaluation copy of DVDfab, just be sure the discs are in good shape and clean, since it doesn't forgive any bad rips during the evaluation period. You can search the internet for discount codes for DVDfab, or use Honey to try a bunch of discount codes for you, to possibly save you some money!

Feature Details:
This is a 'UHD Official' drive, which means that it doesn't have the 'standby mode' bug
that 'UHD Friendly' drives have:
"Most of the friendly drives have a bug: once the UHD disc is in, if it's not used for more than 2 minutes, the drive goes in standby mode and then it will not read the disc anymore. The easiest (fix) is to eject and re-load the disc."
Unlocked LibreDrive Enabled
Drive has been flashed with the original v1.00 firmware, which works with both DVDfab and MakeMKV. MakeMKV has higher firmware versions available that is also LibreDrive enabled, but DVDfab seems to only accept the original v1.00 firmware. Be sure to NOT upgrade the firmware, or you will loose the ability to rip 4K/UltraHD BD discs!
If you use DVDfab's Copy / (Clone/Burn) Module to output the file as an ISO, and you have a media player that can read Full BD/UltraHD Menu's from ISO's (Such as a Dune or Zidoo, etc.), you can access the Menu (Special Features, Scene Selection, etc.) just like you can from the actual disc, all from the single ISO file! The original disc menus work on: DVD's, 2D-BD's, 3D-BD's, and 4K/UltraHD ISO's.
NOTE: DVDfab Player 6 (Ultra) will also play ISO files.
This drive can read/write single layer (BD-R SL 25GB) discs, dual-layer (BD-R DL 50GB) discs, triple-layer (BD-R XL 100GB) discs, and Sony quadruple-layer (BD-R XL 128GB) discs (~119GB usable space, after formatting overhead, etc.)
