Machine Age, Art Deco Inspired Chrome & Cream Bakelite Necklace. I created this necklace for my Uniqlets line of one of a kind jewelry made with vintage parts. This necklace has my favorite combination, chrome and Bakelite. It is a combination that was popular during the machine age. The unusual flared chrome pieces and beads are repurposed from a vintage 1930s necklace. I found vintage a similar shape in 2 sizes of cream, Simichrome tested Bakelite that, while echoing the shape of the chrome pieces, contrast with deep metallic color. I finished the necklace with a modern spherical magnetic clasp. The necklace is approximately 20” long. Gift boxed and shipped free via USPS First Class Mail.
