It was brought to my attention from my customers that there are cheap inferior knockoff copies of this particular item which is made of Aluminum/Steel and being advertised as Titanium indicated as (Ti) and being sold here on eBay and other online market sites. These knockoff copies are also being spray painted with anodized paint. The drawback of painting aluminum or steel is (1) paint is temporary and will eventually fade over time, (2) Paint can scratch and nick very easily if rubbed against metal objects like keys, etc. The manufacturing of these knockoffs are really poor quality as I’ve handled a few that was passed onto me from a few customers. Like the old saying goes, “You pay for what you get” You buy cheap, you get cheated”. So you are paying for a poorly made product and a misrepresentation of an item that is not what it’s advertised as which is FRAUD. If your paying for titanium (Ti), you should get titanium (Ti) and not aluminum/steel. Rest assured, in this listing you are getting a very high quality, Grade 5 Titanium (Ti) piece that has been electro anodized with a power supply unit.
Most of my titanium pieces and brass hardware are custom made by me using either a Lathe Mill Drill Press combo machine or a CNC Machine. Each and every piece is physically/visually checked by me. My standards are high and any imperfections or defects goes to the file 13 bucket being the trash can🗑. Rest assured, you will be getting a high end precision custom hand made piece, not one of those mass produced inferior China ones that are on the market.
My number one choice of material was titanium for the main components being: Carabiners, Frankenrobo Rotating Piston Skull 🤖💀, Bike Link 🚲 and Tuning Fork Rotating Swivel. My decision to use titanium was based on these positive factors: is resistant to corrosion, light weight, very durable and will last for a long time.
The pins, washers and spacers are brass while the screws are stainless steel.
As with most of my keychains that I make, all of the materials used are corrosion resistant so it should last for a very long time.
I use Loctite Blue on all of my keychains that I make. Loctite Blue is designed for the locking and sealing of threaded fasteners and secures nuts and bolts from accidental loosening.
