Genuine 1940's BAKELITE! OMBRE Tortoise Shell Buckle Cabochon GEOMETRIC Necklace

An eye-catching, beautiful swirled Tortoise Shell brown Bakelite square, topped with a golden yellow swirled cabochon, accented with swirled tortoise shell, applejuice and butterscotch Bakelite buckles!
This necklace is a bit different from the poker chip necklaces I create. I came upon a small stash of these cute little 1940's Bakelite buckles or slides. Too small to use for my other necklaces, I came up with what you see here!
The monochromatic array of buckles hang from a petite black plastic chain with a focal point of a gorgeous, glossy tortoise shell square with a beautiful lemon yellow cabochon. This centerpiece and buckles are truly gorgeous, very swirled and polished up spectacularly!
ALL BAKELITE
, except for the chain and findings.
The necklace is 18" long with a hook closure. The centerpiece is 1 5/8" in diameter and the buckles/slides are 1 1/2" in diameter, please see pics with dime to get an idea of size. (All measurements are approximate). The piece is in SUPERB CONDITION, gorgeous Bakelite and pristine chain and hook.
I have been collecting Bakelite bits and pieces for years (I just love the look, feel and sound).  Simichrome tested Bakelite. All the Bakelite has had a long life already as something else before it's new life as a spectacular necklace, so there will be some imperfections and wear...CALL IT PATINA! I
have
polished the pieces to reveal all that glorious color.
