Offered is this Mopar rim blow steering wheel, part number 4020FTX, being option S83. Found on 1970 Barracuda and Challenger (but with a different center cap) and correct as offered for 1971 Barracuda and Challenger, Dart and Valiant, and Coronet and Satellite. Includes all as shown:
The steering wheel is in nice shape, with just one small crack on the reverse side, and no cracks on the woodgrain rim. Minor pitting on spokes. The woodgrain rim is as shown in the pictures.
The center cap is 1971-only, and has some damage. Notably, the small plastic locating pin is broken off, and for whatever reason, the metal frame has been attached with silicone (I think that's what it for). The vinyl face is nice and pliable, and hey, all three decorative allen screws are present. There is one crack along the rim, as shown.
Also included is the adapter unique to this wheel, used to mount the wheel to the column. This is crusty and will need to be stripped. Includes the three correct wheel mounting nuts.
This is a nice assembly to restore, or maybe use on a 'survivor'-type car.
