    This item is a Ricoh internal CD-R/RW laptop drive.  This drive was originally from an external VST CDRW drive used with older Apple laptop and desktop (G3 and G4 era) computers.  I believe this is a SCSI drive since it has a 50 pin connector and that was the main external device port used by Apple at that time.
