Vintage Beau Brummell Topper Black Silk Cummerbund Size S

Picked up at a thrift store.  This is a black silk cummerbund sold by Beau Brummell TOPPER.  The cummerbund itself is in immaculate condition without blemish.  The shorter end with the brass clasp is made of black 3/4" twill tape that is sewn into the end at the label you see in Photo #5.  You might easily replace the tape if you have any sort of sewing skills.  The clasps are brass in in decent condition as well.  The length is adjustable at the clasps.
Laid out flat, the cummerbund is 36" long from end to end.
A little history:  Brummel was an innovator in men’s fashions and a close friend of the Prince Regent, George IV (who became king in 1821). He spurned the flamboyance and decadence of men’s fashion of the time, instead adopting simple, elegant and tailored attire such as equestrian-inspired breeches, spotless white shirts and exquisitely tailored jackets.
